Genuine girlfriends don't do the following:
1. Make comment about your weight as if it's not a sacred thing to begin with. Girl, kung girlfriend ka talaga alam mong mortal sin ang walang pasubaling komento about it sa harap ng let's say madlang people. Not to be defensive pero there is such subtle way to deal with it and true blue girlfriends know it by heart. At kung walang clue tungkol dyan, magisip-isip ka na!
2. Stab you at the back. Genuine girlfriends can tell you straight to your face what's the matter with you but then again with utmost concern and in consideration of your emotion.
Again, I'm not being defensive. I'm just stating observation.

Got the itch to write about this
That the least we can do to be a blessing to other people is to not speak trash towards them. A babble of cute expression of curse is not so lady-like nor a turn on no matter how smart looking you like to look like, eh?
Got the itch to write about this because on Sunday night, my girls and I are throwing a bridal shower to our dear friend, Mitch. For us it'll be a night to not only give the award-winning speeches (with the intention to make Mitch cry out of JOY!) and toast (naks!) to a gal we've known since forever (naks!), but words of blessing filled with enough encouragement as she face her future with a partner in tow. I know we are not experts about relationships but girls know whom to run to when in need of a listener.
And that reminded why can't we practice a life where babbling words of encouragement is almost like a second nature? And at the same time mastered the attitude of restraint when you can't help but babble rubbish expressions every now and then or nevertheless if you can't really really help it at least throw comments with refined subtlely? Should we wait for every proper timing to show how we appreciate people? A yes would be so unlady-like answer.
A good day to all!
